Eligible patients urged to have pneumonia vaccine

People aged over 65 or in clinical risk groups are being advised to have the pneumococcal vaccination (also known as the pneumonia vaccine).

The vaccine protects against serious and potentially fatal pneumococcal infections which can lead to pneumonia, septicaemia (a kind of blood poisoning) and meningitis.

If you think you might be eligible but are yet to have the pneumococcal immunisations then please contact us.

For more information go to Pneumoaware.co.uk or to the NHS Pneumococcal Vaccination web page.
