Appointments

All consultations are by appointment, but if you need an urgent appointment or advice, you will be telephoned by a health care professional and dealt with appropriately.  Routine appointments can be booked up to six weeks in advance.

For patients who work and cannot easily get to see us during the day, doctor and practice nurse appointments are available outside our standard clinic times – please ask the receptionist to check availability.

For all surgeries you can make an appointment online (if you have registered to do so), at the reception desk or by telephoning between 8.30am and 6pm, from Monday to Friday. The surgery is usually closed at weekends and Bank Holidays.

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason, please inform us as soon as possible on 01404 819207 to allow us to give the slot to someone else.

Telephone advice

Telephone consultations can be booked via reception on 01404 819207. Appointments are either 8:30 – 13:00 and 14:00 -18:00

You will be rung 2 times, with about 30 – 45 minutes between calls, if you fail to answer the call, you will be required to book a new appointment on another day.

Home visits

Wherever possible, we recommend you attend the surgery, as the facilities for examining you are much better an, moreover, any tests that might be needed can be easily arranged. If you or child feel too ill to wait in the waiting room, the receptionist will show you to an examination room on arrival.

In a worse-case scenario, when you are unable to attend the surgery and require a home visit, please telephone before 10.30am, giving some indication of the problem, so that the doctor can plan their visits
